Upper Austrian Associacion for Waste Management

Tasks and Objectives

Representation of interests

The Upper Austrian Association for Waste Management (LAV) was founded in 1993 in order to represent the interests of the 18 district-level associations (BAVs) including the three statutory cities (Linz, Wels, Steyr) at the province level. On 1st January 1994, a separate office in Linz was established.

Coordination is our job

The LAV, as representative of the interests of its member associations, acts as coordinator in supraregional and national issues concerning solid waste management. One of our main tasks in this context is mutual information of our members.
